Reporting Concerns & Requesting Services
Reporting Concerns and Requesting Services
Recently the MSCB and it’s partners have come together to improve the quality of contacts to the Manchester Contact Centre, for reporting concerns around children, young people and their families.
A First Response Team has been established made up of 1 Social Worker from each of the 6 Manchester districts; 3 Social Work Qualified Team Managers (Double District Linked), 3 Family Support Workers and 3 Administrative staff. The team examines all contacts to determine whether the contact becomes a referral and whether an initial assessment should be undertaken by the Duty and Assessment Services in the district.
The MSCB has updated the ‘Multi-Agency Referral and Assessment Form’ – This is now called the ‘Multi-Agency Contact and Assessment Form’; It follows the same format as the previous form for professionals reporting concerns or requesting services, and is available to download from the Homepage and the Professionals section of the MSCB website, along with the guidance for completing the form.
The form also includes the telephone and fax numbers for the Contact Centre.
The old version of the form may still be accepted by the First Response Team at the Contact Centre, but to better aid the wider implementation of the updated form and guidance we are requesting that professionals use the new version from now on.
More information regarding the First Response Service Team is available by selecting the document below.
