Independent Chair
Ian Rush
Ian takes a key role in driving forward the safeguarding agenda in Manchester by managing and leading the strategic work of the Board, and ensuring all partner agencies effectively fulfil their duties to cooperate in this work.

Business and Performance Manager

The Business Manager is responsible for monitoring the overall effectiveness of the Board through co-ordination of Sub-Groups, developing the Business Plan and managing the MSCB Business Unit.

Serious Case Review Manager

Una manages and co-ordinates high-level and media-sensitive Serious Case Reviews (SCRs). This includes quality assuring the SCR process, ensuring that SCRs meet government guidelines and requirements, and managing the media and public relations. Una, along with Andy McLean also takes a split lead in the Business and Performance Management of the Business Unit.

Sue is the MSCB's E-Safety lead, working closely with schools and partners to develop and improve awareness around online safety and issues for practitioners. Sue also supports the role of the Communications Officer, providing comprehensive strategic communications that support the delivery of priority outcomes within the Manchester Safeguarding Children Board.
